The punching and post-punching shear behaviours of reinforced concrete (RC) flat plate structures are often studied by using a representative slab–column connection isolated from the parent structure. In this study, set numerical modelling techniques is established to create competent three-dimensional non-linear model simulate RC connections without reinforcement, through use which failure featuring critical surface an abrupt drop applied force in load–displacement response able be accurately reproduced. behaviour, taking form increased load-carrying capacity ceased rebar fracture suspension stage, also well captured.
